The Sword and the Dragon is the first story in a series of three Wardstone books. It is a lengthy novel with all of the mastery of an epic fantasy.
The story starts out like any other typical fantasy novel, but quickly jumps ahead of others in its class with it's brilliantly portrayed characters and creatures within a mystical world unlike any other.
The details and descriptions throughout this story, especially the intense battles that take you right into the scenes, make it easy to envision everything going on around you.
The characterization throughout this exciting story is perfect and you can't help but like each and every one of the unique characters. All of your emotions will be tapped by the action and interaction between all of the characters.
Not a boring moment throughout this long story. The fantasy world is developed over time over the course of the story and it flawlessly leads into the second book, leaving you satisfied by wanting more.
There is a reason this book is in the top 20 best sellers ranking in many categories. Can't wait to read the others books in the Wardstone Trilogy.
