Uniquely Exciting Fantasy!
Engaging Enchantment is the first story in The Legend of Lord Randall Castle series. It is a short fiction fantasy with all of the makings of a great story for all ages.
The Legend of Lord Randall Castle: Book One - Engaging Enchantment is much more than a story within a story. Similar to "The Princess Bride" where the Grandfather is telling his Grandson a story, two children fight over which story their mother should read to them before bed.
Alyssa is promised the story pick next, but Andy, the son, won and requested his mother read his favorite story, again.
So the mother begins to read... The story within the story tells how the Keeper, Barwick, gained his magical abilities and sets the stage for a wonderful series of books.
The stories the parents' are reading are much more than bed time tales; they somehow directly relate to the kids and all of the tales must be read in order for the "Keeper to come".
Though the story is very short, it's well written prose and great characters keep things moving until the end. I can't wait to read the next installment to see where this leads.
I highly recommend reading Engaging Enchantment [Historical Fantasy] (The Legend of Lord Randall Castle Book 1)
to enter a whole new world of fantasy.
